The Democrat Party of Thailand wants to foster the relations between Vietnam and Thailand, particularly in economics and trade, as well as in the ASEAN cooperation framework, said Thai party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva.
The visiting political party leader made the remark while meeting with Truong Tan Sang, a Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Hanoi on August 22.
Mr Sang welcomed Mr Vejjajiva’s visit to Vietnam to attend the top 100 Southeast Asian entrepreneurs’ conference. He expressed hope that the two countries will increase cooperation in economics, trade and investment and coordinate closely at regional and international forums.
