Georgian delegation visits Vietnam for political consultation

(VOV) - A delegation from the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Deputy Minister D.Jalagania is on a working visit to Vietnam from March 6-9.

The delegation attended a political consultation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

During the meetings, Georgian officials and their Vietnamese counterparts briefed each other on their countries’ current situation and discussed issues of common concern.

The focus of their discussions was on how to increase cooperation in economics-commerce and education-training; stepping up cooperation agreements in customs procedures and avoiding double taxation; comparing notes on international and regional issues, and boosting cooperation between the two foreign ministries.

The Georgian diplomat affirmed that his country always attaches great importance to developing relations with Vietnam and is keen to enhance the traditional friendship between the two nations.
