The Vietnam Machinery and Industrial Equipments (MIE) Corporation plans to export 2,660 machine tool units worth US$1.6 million to the US in 2006.

In 2005, MIE exported nearly 2,200 units of machine tools with a total value of US$1.1 million to the US. The corporation is also boosting on-the-site export of mechanical equipment to domestic hydropower plants.
