Party leader Nong Duc Manh arrived in Wellington on the evening of September 9 (local time), beginning an official visit to New Zealand at the invitation of Prime Minister John Key.

He was welcomed at the airport by the NZ Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, the NZ ambassador to Vietnam, ASEAN ambassadors to NZ, and representatives of Vietnamese nationals in the country.

PM Key is scheduled to hold a welcoming ceremony for Mr Manh at the headquarters of the NZ parliament in the morning of September 10. They will later hold talks on measures to boost bilateral cooperation and establish a stable, durable and comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
