Businesses in Japan looking towards home

Reporter: Immediately after its establishment on September 2, 2013, the Vietnamese Business Association in Japan has sent a delegation to Vietnam?

Mr Hai: It’s our great honour to return to the homeland, the Association is seeking support from the administration at all levels to expand business cooperation, and respect of its members.

Reporter: What has the Vietnam Business Association achieved from its meeting with the Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association?

Mr Hai: We were warmly received by President of the Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association Nguyen Phu Binh, who served as Vietnamese ambassador to Japan for many years. He knows a lot about the Japanese business community and is ready to help promote the association’s cooperation with the Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association, expand markets and create links between Vietnamese entrepreneurs and residents in Japan and their partners back home.

We also had the chance to meet with many businessmen, lawyers, and journalists to discuss the possibility of closer cooperation in many areas.

Reporter: Could you brief us on the operation of the Vietnam Business Association in Japan? 

The Vietnam Business Association in Japan consists of 32 businesses operating in the fields of medical equipment and software engineering, and aviation back-up services.

They are proud of their four-generation operational background and active contributions to the development of both Japan and Vietnam.

Reporter: What about the association’s plan of operation in the coming time?

We are focused on promoting inter-member exchanges, expanding the scope of operation and sponsoring workshops and training courses to improve both business acumen and technical expertise.

Apart from defending the legal rights of its members, the association always supports them in achieving their legitimate aspirations. We plan to organise a ceremony for the inauguration of Nissinkutsu pagoda on October 18 with the participation of more than 200 partners.

The association has regular exchanges with the Japanese Youth and Student Association and other institutions. It is expected to attend a Ministry of Industry and Trade seminar on November 5, meet with the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association in late November, and welcome the Vietnamese Prime Minister’s visit to Japan later this year.
