Vietnam brings home ninth gold at Asian Para Games
(VOV) - Swimmer Nguyen Thanh Trung topped off the nation’s incredible showing at the Asian Para Games in the Republic of Korea with a win in the men’s 200m medley SM5 event on October 23.
He clocked in at 3’48s63, which was 7 seconds faster than the second place finisher.
Earlier, Trung grabbed a gold medal in the men’s 100m breaststroke SB4 event.
Also on October 23, Ha Thi Hue earned a bronze medal in the women’s weightlifting F37 event with a time of 7m35.
At present, Vietnam is ranked 10th on the overall medal tally at the tourney with 9 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze medals.
