Vietnam has lots of potential to develop women’s football, said Michelle Cox, an ambassador from the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).

The FIFA representative stated this during a meeting with the heads of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in Hanoi on February 23, regarding the development of women’s football in Vietnam.

According to Ms Michelle, despite some shortcomings, the National Women’s Football Championships have demonstrated that Vietnam has been successful in developing women’s football as it focuses on improving professional skills.

She also spoke highly of Vietnam’s ability to organize and host large events, such as the AFC Champions League and the Southeast Asian Football Championship (AFF Cup), saying that these events have helped Vietnam to gain more experience in improving the professional skills of domestic female footballers.
