The Taya Vietnam Electric Wire and Cable Co., the first foreign-owned business licensed to be listed on Vietnam's stock market, will officially make its debut at the Ho Chi Minh Securities Trading Centre on February 15.

According to the State Securities Commission, the wholly Taiwanese-owned firm, licensed on December 2, 2005, will become the 35th business to be listed on the country's stock exchange.

Taya Vietnam has a statutory capital of VND182.6 billion, 20 percent of which, equivalent to more than 3.65 million shares worth around VND36.53 billion, will be offered at the bourse.

Taya is one of the country's four largest electric wire and cable producers. It specialises in manufacturing electric, electromagnetic and copper wires, electric cables, communication wires and cables, engines and water pumps for both domestic consumption and export.
