Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has decided to provide the northern mountainous provinces of Bac Kan and Cao Bang with VND15 billion to overcome flood consequences.
The sum is taken from the central budget reserves for 2006 to help provinces with plants and animals, poverty reduction and construction of infrastructure.
In addition, northern Tuyen Quang province asked the Government for VND15 billion along with equipment to prevent floods and aid rescue activities.
The Ministry of Health has also provided medicine to help local heath services in Lai Chau,
