Students at the university will have the opportunity to enjoy popular scholarships from domestic and foreign organizations and access post-graduate training abroad and employment with prestigious enterprises.

The Ministry of Education and Training (MET) announced the Prime Minister’s decision to establish Dai Nam University in Hanoi on December 18. It will be situated at the Hesco Building, km no10, Nguyen Trai road, Ha Dong City.

Vu Thi Lien, the rector of Dai Nam University, said the students will be taught by experienced domestic and foreign lecturers. The school will start to enroll students from the first quarter in 2008, with 600 students and 3 training fields: Banking and Finance, Accounting and Foreign Languages.

Students will enjoy practical training because of the extensive relations with commercial banks. The school will supply students with knowledge about credit cards such as Visa and Master and use the Core Banking software from Temenos. After 4-years of studying, they will gain certificates issued by international securities, banking and finance training organizations.

Apart from the standard training program of the MET, upper-intermediate English for students to reach TOEIC 750 will play an important role in the teaching program. In particular, students at the university will have the opportunity to access popular scholarships from domestic and foreign organizations, be sent for post-graduate training abroad and gain employment with prestigious businesses. At present the Dai Nam University is aiming to become one of the Vietnam’s leading qualified universities by 2015.

At the ceremony to announce the establishment of the university, representatives from the University signed cooperation agreements with the 3 commercial banks VP Bank, Techcombank and MB. Under the agreement, the banks will provide work experience to students in banking, finance and the securities profession, with a view to employing the graduated students.
