Hungary, Vietnam boost judicial cooperation

(VOV) - The Vietnamese People’s Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of Hungary have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on judicial cooperation.

The signing took place during talks between Chief Judge Truong Hoa Binh and his counterpart Peter Darak in Hanoi on November 10.

Binh introduced some judicial reforms of Vietnam in recent times and hoped that the two sides will strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperative ties in the future.

For his part, Peeetster showed his delight at fine relations between the two courts through exchanges of visit and experience.

He spoke highly of Vietnam’s recent judicial reforms and revealed that the four-level court system has operated in Hungary for 10 years now, which helped judges set appropriate and effective sentences. Hungary is willing to share the experience with Vietnam, he confirmed.

At the talks, the two sides agreed to further boost cooperation through implementing activities and programmes provided for in the MoU.
