Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has agreed to establish a fund for those living on Truong Sa (Spratly) district island and marine platform DK1 off the central province of Khanh Hoa.
It aims to improve the spiritual and material life of soldiers, state officials, and local people on Truong Sa and platform DK1, said the PM’s decision signed on April 19.
The PM assigned the Defence Ministry to set up the Steering Board to run the fund, which expects to raise money from individuals, businesses and organisations in and outside the country for its operation.
