A television contest on APEC Vietnam 2006 started on September 27 with the participation of Vietnamese and foreign students from nine universities and institutes in Hanoi.

Dao Thanh Huong, Vice Permanent President of the Union of the Hanoi friendship organisations said each student attending the contest will be a speaker to introduce the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum (APEC) and Vietnam's economic cooperation with other economies worldwide.

The contest is an opportunity for participants to introduce Vietnam's typical cultural traditions, its landscapes and people's hospitality.

Contestants are competing in three groups to choose three winning teams with the highest mark in the final. Each team, comprising three Vietnamese and two foreign students, will have to answer APEC related questions.
