A high-ranking conference on the United Nations (UN) Delivering as One (DaO) initiative will take place in Hanoi from June 14-16, the UN and the Ministry of Planning and Investment announced at a press briefing on June 3.

The conference is to share findings and conclusions drawing from national- level evaluations made by eight pilot countries and make up an agenda for the next activities to boost the initiative.

The conference is expected to attract 260 delegates from eight pilot countries, including Vietnam, Albania, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Pakistan, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uruguay, 10 volunteers and 18 donor countries.

The DaO initiative will look to five “one”, including one plan, one budgetary framework, one leader, one regime and one office in order to bring the UN’s funding together to implement one mechanism to mobilise funds in each country.
