A variety of activities will be held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam Journalists Association (April 21) and Vietnam’s Revolutionary Journalism Day (June 21).

This was announced at a press conference by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA) on April 12.

According to the VJA, there will be an anniversary celebration and a pilgrimage to the place the association was established in Diem Mac commune in Dinh Son district, Thai Nguyen province with leaders of many press agencies, VJA officials and veteran journalists.

The participants will attend the opening of a new museum on the VJA vestige and a meeting with the Thai Nguyen Journalists Association.

A second singing festival for journalists will also be launched at grassroots level and is expected to attract journalists from across the country.

Also on the occasion, the Central Committee of the VJA will encourage its members to uphold the tradition of the archetypal Thanh Nien newspaper, set up by President Ho Chi Minh and actively participate in the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
