Vietnamese Ambassador to Spain, Truong Trieu Duong recently presented his credentials to Spanish King Juan Carlos at the Royal Palace in Madrid.

At a reception for Mr Duong, King Juan Carlos said that Spain and Vietnam should accelerate the implementation of agreements signed during State President Nguyen Minh Triet’s visit to Spain in December last year and hoped that bilateral cooperation will grow in areas such as economics, trade, culture and national defense.

Ambassador Duong conveyed regards from President Triet to the Spanish king and affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s determination to promote a strategic partnership in the future.

On the occasion, Mr Duong also briefed King Juan Carlos on the relations between Vietnam and Spain in recent times.
