Sapa prepares for its 2009 Culture and Tourism Week
The 2009 Sapa Culture and Tourism Week will be held in Sapa district in the northern province of Lao Cai, from April 30 to May 3.
A diverse range of activities welcoming visitors will be held during the week, including the “love market” in the town and the “Cloud Festival” on Ham Rong Mountain, which spotlights the traditional culture of the Mong, Dao, Giay, Tay and Xa Pho ethnic minority groups.
In addition, a photography exhibition entitled “Sapa – The land and its people”, a musical programme and the Muong Hoa culinary art fair will also be held on the occasion.
