Chinese tugboat 281 on June 7 deliberately rammed into the left side of Vietnam’s fisheries surveillance ship KN-635 that was undertaking law enforcement in the area around the oil rig Haiyang Shiyou-981 that is illegally standing in Vietnamese waters, according to the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Department.

Vietnamese fisheries surveillance staff on June 6 detected high-capacity Chinese fishing ships in the area surrounding the Haiyang Shiyou-981 rig which is illegally standing in Vietnam’s waters.

(VOV) -Major TV stations in Japan, such as NHK, TBS and Fuji, frontpaged their news bulletin on June 6 with a video showing a Chinese vessel sinking a Vietnamese fishing boat on May 26 in Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago.

(VOV) - According to CNN field correspondent McKirdy, Chinese vessels have removed covers from their weapons to intimidate Vietnam.

The Vietnamese delegation to the United Nations, World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, sent a diplomatic note on June 5 to the permanent representative missions of countries in Geneva and Swiss-based international organisations.
