Malaysian police arrest many law-breaking foreigners

Malaysian police have arrested 141 foreigners under the Ops Nyah 2 and Ops Noda Khas operations for various offences in the downtown of Kuala Lumpur.

In the five-hour Ops Nyah 2 operation, which began at 11pm August 8, 67 men and 25 women aged between 20 and 45 were detained at several areas of Brickfields, PantaiDalam and JalanKlang Lama.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Datuk Abdul Hamid Mohd Ali said those captured included nationals from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, India, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Meanwhile, in the Ops Noda Khas operation, 46 foreign women aged between 25 and 35, were nabbed for their involvement in prostitution and violating visa-related regulations.
