The Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Truong Tan Sang, on August 19 received an Angolan delegation led by Secretary of State for Cooperation, Exalgina Gamboa, to Vietnam to attend the 2nd Vietnam-Africa International Conference (VAIC) in Hanoi. 

Mr. Sang affirmed that Vietnam attaches much importance to fostering the friendship and comprehensive cooperation with the Angolan government and people, and is ready to share experiences of interests to Angola, for the sake of the two peoples, and for peace and development in Southeast Asia, South Africa and all over the world.

Ms. Gamboa spoke highly of Vietnam’s successful hosting of VAIC, and its traditional friendship and cooperation with Afican countries in general and Angola in particular. 

She also expressed her pleasure at Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements. She said Angola would like to strengthen friendship and cooperation with Vietnam in many areas, especially in health care, education, agriculture, poverty reduction and food security.
