A bridge over the Mekong River linking Mukdahan province of Thailand to Savannakhet province of Laos will be officially inaugurated by the end of this month.

This will be the second bridge between Thailand and Laos, and the road links between Thailand, Laos and Vietnam will help promote economic, trade and tourist activities among these countries, said Mukdahan provincial chief Boonsom Phirinyawong.
