A US$466 million aluminium processing factory will be built in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong

The factory, built by Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin) and China Aluminum International Engineering Corp (CHALIECO), will exploit bauxite ores in Di Linh district with an annual capacity of 600,000 tonnes. It is expected to create jobs for about 16,000 local people.

According to Vinacomin, the contract is the largest and the most important part of the bauxite-aluminum project in Lam Dong, and CHALIECO will carry out construction work within two years.
