International organizations have provided US$2.3 million and 400 cubic metres of iron wood for repair and restoration of historical relics in the former imperial city of Hue since the UNESCO recognised the local temples and palaces as World Cultural Heritage in 1993.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) alone contributed 467 Swiss frances and US$90,000 to the project.

More than US$16.62 million has been spent on preserving and promoting the value of the Hue historical relics in recent years. These systems, therefore, are no longer in the dilapidated situation.
