Vietnam makes strong impression at SATTE 2026 in India

VOV.VN - Vietnam has made a notable impression at the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2026 in India, with Vietnam Airlines and more than 30 tourism enterprises showcasing the country’s growing aviation and tourism connectivity with India.

The Vietnamese delegation featured Vietnam Airlines’ Indian branch, the An Giang Tourism Association, and over 30 travel agencies, hotels, resorts and service providers from across the country. The Vietnam Pavilion, professionally designed and vibrant in presentation, promoted the country as a safe, welcoming and culturally rich destination, drawing strong interest from Indian and international partners.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Trade Counsellor in India Bui Trung Thuong noted that the travel expo would help to strengthen the connection between Vietnamese businesses and foreign partners.

The Trade Office and the Embassy are committed to supporting Vietnamese businesses, not only in goods trade promotion, but also in services, tourism and aviation, sectors with strong growth potential in bilateral relations, Thuong said.

During the three-day fair, Vietnam Airlines actively promoted its routes, products and partnership policies in the Indian market, contributing to stronger direct air connectivity between the two countries and facilitating trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges.

In recent years, the number of Indian tourists to Vietnam has grown impressively, making India one of the key source markets for Vietnamese tourism. Conversely, the demand for tourism, spiritual tourism, and leisure activities among Vietnamese tourists in India has also increased.

Held from February 25–27 at the Yashobhoomi Exhibition Centre in Dwarka, New Delhi, SATTE 2026 was one of the largest travel trade events in South Asia, attracting thousands of tourism boards, travel companies and international airlines.

According to the organisers, SATTE 2026 continues to affirm its position as a key B2B platform connecting South Asian and global tourism enterprises. Vietnam’s large-scale participation demonstrates its determination to effectively tap into the Indian market - home to more than 1.45 billion people, a rapidly expanding middle class, and rising demand for international travel.

In parallel with the exhibition, the Vietnam Trade Office in India coordinated with local authorities, associations and partners to organise business matching activities, provide market information, offer policy consultation, and support enterprises in addressing market-entry challenges.
