Tan Son Nhat Airport to serve nearly 10 million passengers this summer
VOV.VN - Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City is preparing for a sharp rise in passenger traffic during the summer peak season, expecting to welcome approximately 9.9 million travelers between June 16 and August 15.

A significant portion of this traffic, more than 2.2 million passengers, will pass through the newly inaugurated Terminal 3 (T3), dedicated to domestic flights. The terminal began operations on April 30, two months ahead of schedule, and now hosts all domestic Vietnam Airlines flights, aiming to enhance the overall travel experience.
With a total investment of over VND11 trillion, T3 has already begun easing congestion and improving service quality during the busy travel season.
According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), nationwide passenger numbers are projected to hit around 28 million during this summer peak, marking a 9.58% increase compared to the same period last year. This includes more than 9.5 million international arrivals and over 18.4 million domestic travelers.
Out of the 21 airports operated by ACV, Tan Son Nhat is expected to handle the largest volume of passengers this summer.
