The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said  over the first four months, Vietnam has welcomed more than 2.5 million foreign visitors, up nearly 23 percent compared to the same period last year.

April alone saw an increase of 18 percent to 620,000, mostly coming from the Republic of Korea (RoK). The number of Korean visitors to Vietnam rose 49 percent in four months and 71 percent in April, a record level so far.

The total number of foreign visitors to HCM City reached 1.24 million, up 9 percent compared to last year’s same period.
