PM Dung said this while receiving Bernard Weber, President of the New Open World Corporation, in Hanoi on April 27.
He spoke highly of Weber’s initiative to select the world’s new seven wonders and expressed thanks to Vietnamese people and international friends for choosing Ha Long Bay as one of the winners of the title. He said he hopes the corporation will continue assisting Vietnam to promote its image to the world and bring tourists to the Southeast Asian country.
Weber said he is pleased that the campaign received great attention from people around the globe and is committed to promoting the newly-selected wonders, including Ha Long Bay, which has been recognised twice as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
