The number of foreign tourists arriving in Vietnam in the past nine months has reached nearly 4.85 million, a year-on-year increase of 13 percent, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
However, in September alone, only 460,238 tourists visited the country, a decrease of 13.7 percent compared to August.
Tourists from the Republic of Korea saw the highest increase with 38.2 percent, followed by Malaysia (25.4 percent), Japan (24.5 percent), Thailand (23.4 percent), Taiwan (19.4 percent) and France (8.1 percent).
