China continues to top the list of foreign visitors to Vietnam in September with the figure of 100,000 arrivals, up 45 percent against the same period last year.
The number of visitors from China far exceeds even the next most travelled from countries of the Republic of Korea, Japan, the US and Cambodia.
In the first nine months of the year, the total number of tourists to Vietnam is estimated to reach 4.3 million arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 15.5 percent. Among them, leisure tourists rose by 10.9 percent and those visiting relatives increased by 70.1 percent. However, the number of working tourists fell by 5.2 percent.
Vietnam strives to receive 5.5 million foreign arrivals by the end of 2011.
