The Ho Chi Minh City-based industrial park developer Tan Tao Corp will provide a grant of VND17 billion to assist poor people in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

The agreement was signed on January 14 between Tan Tao and the Sponsors’ Association for Poor Patients in Kien Giang province.

The donation will include VND10 billion to build 1,000 charity houses in U Minh Thuong district, VND2.3 billion to build a free medical care centre for the poor, and the rest to buy insurance for 30,000 poor people.
