Yoshimi Yamashita to officiate at 2025 ASEAN Women’s Championship in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Yoshimi Yamashita, one of the world's leading women's football referees, will oversee matches at the 2025 ASEAN Women’s Championship in Vietnam slated for August 6 to 19, announced by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF).

Yamashita is among 10 referees and 10 assistants designated by AFF to officiate the 16 matches of the tournament due to take place at Viet Tri stadium in Phu Tho province and Lach Tray stadium in Hai Phong city.
Born in 1986, Yamashita has been accredited by FIFA since 2015 and has participated in many international tournaments.
The Japanese referee has plenty of experience in taking charge of such events, having previously been an official at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France and also refereeing at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics.
Other familiar referees such as Kim Yu Jeong of the Republic of Korea and Mu Mingxin of China will also be present during the coming tournament in Vietnam.
Three Vietnamese officials - referee Nguyen Manh Hai and assistants Nguyen Trung Hau and Phan Huy Hoang - will be part of the officiating team.
Vietnam will play in Group A alongside Indonesia, Cambodia, and Thailand.
