WVVF President praises martial arts development model in Algeria, Africa
President of the World Vovinam Federation (WVVF) Mai Huu Tin engaged in a series of meetings with Algerian sports officials and participated in various martial arts exchange events from May 7 to 10, aimed to further promote the development of Vovinam (Vietnamese martial arts) across North Africa and the African continent more broadly.

On May 8, accompanied by Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh, Tin met with Algerian Minister of Sports Walid Sadi, who affirmed Algeria’s continued support for expanding Vovinam’s presence in the country.
On the same day, speaking at a meeting organised by the Algerian Vovinam Federation (AVF) in Algiers, Tin urged continental and national Vovinam federations worldwide to study the Algerian model. He stated that this is an admirable and exemplary approach to sports development on a wide scale.
He also expressed sincere appreciation to the Algerian Government and people for their strong commitment to promoting Vovinam, contributing to the global reach of this martial art that embodies Vietnam’s cultural identity.
On the Algerian side, Mohamed Djouadj, President of both the Algerian and African Vovinam Federations and Vice President of the WVVF, stressed that the visit reflects the international community’s recognition of Africa’s growing role in the sport. He affirmed his commitment to spreading the values and spirit of Vovinam among the region’s younger generation.
As part of the trip, the Vietnamese delegation also travelled to Senegal to attend the Ambassador's Cup, celebrating 40 years since Vovinam was first introduced to the country. The event was hosted by the Senegal Vovinam Federation.
