Women’s team secure first win in Olympics qualifiers
The Vietnamese women’s team beat hosts Uzbekistan 2-1 in their first match in the second qualifying round of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in Tashkent on April 3.

The Vietnamese women needed only seven minutes to open the score with a goal by striker Huynh Nhu.
However, a mere four minutes later Kuchkarova Ugiloy equalized for the hosts.
Shortly after the break, midfielder Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung secured the victory with a successful penalty.
In the other match of Group B, Hong Kong had a goalless draw with Jordan.
The next round of matches of April 6 will see Vietnam face Hong Kong and Uzbekistan take on Jordan at the Transportation Institute Stadium.
