Vinh strikes weightlifter’s gold at Asian Indoor Games

VOV.VN - Trinh Van Vinh claimed the men’s 62kg weightlifting title on Tuesday, September 19, at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan.

He lifted a combined weight of 302 kilograms for the snatch and clean & jerk.

Lei Haitao from China had to settle for second place lifting a total weight of 288 kilograms in the same two events.

Van Vinh said he was confident but a little anxious, during the competition.  It’s exciting to win the gold medal, he added.
