Vietnam’s U16s set for Japan-ASEAN friendlies

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s U16 football team, coached by Dinh The Nam, will compete in the 2018 Japan-ASEAN friendly tournament in Miyazaki, Japan from March 8 to 12.

Among the 18 strong squad are some of the outstanding faces of the U15 team, the winner of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U15 Championship. They are also considered to be key players in the team to compete at the final round of AFC U16 Championship.

This year, the Japan-ASEAN friendly football tournament has attracted the participation of 10 teams from Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Brunei, Laos, Timor Leste, who will play alongside the two hosts, Japan U15s, and the Miyazaki team.

Vietnam’s U16 team is in Group D with U16 Laos and the Miyazaki team.
