Vietnamese wins Muay festival in Bangkok

Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat of Vietnam won his title at the first International Thai Martial Arts Games and Festival, which is currently on in Bangkok till March 22.

Nhat knocked out his Greek rival Panos Karysitis in the final’s second round of the men’s 60kg category.

“We are friends, but when we are on the ring we will fight our best. And then we can go out and be nice again,” Nhat said.

The festival is one of Nhat’s warm-ups to prepare for the upcoming important tournaments, the Southeast Asian Games, the world championship and the Indoor Games.
