VOV.VN - Weightlifter Le Van Cong has been awarded a bonus of VND50 million from the Vietnam Sports Association for Disabled Athletes (VSAD) after his medal-winning performance at the ongoing 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.

In addition to the Paralympian athlete, Cong’s coach Le Quang Thai was also presented with a bonus of VND20 million.

Furthermore, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung also sent a congratulatory message to the Vietnamese weightlifter on winning silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympic Games. Indeed, Van Cong’s achievement marks the first medal won by the Vietnamese delegation at the global sporting event.
