Vietnamese tennis, women’s football teams head to ASIAD 18
The Vietnam national tennis team will fly to Indonesia on August 16 to compete at the 18th Asian Games (ASIAD 18).

The team includes Ly Hoang Nam, Trinh Linh Giang, Pham Minh Tuan, Nguyen Van Phuong, Savanna Ly Nguyen and Fodor Csilla.
The tennis event will be held from August 19 to 25 at Jakabaring Sports City in South Sumatra.
ASIAD 18 is both an opportunity and challenge for Vietnamese players to exchange experiences and hone their skills.
Youngster Nguyen Van Phuong has been widely tipped to do well at the Games after winning three tournaments in the past month.
On August 13, the women’s national football team headed to Indonesia. They will compete in Palembang city on August 19.
They have been drawn in Group C with Japan and Thailand.
