Vietnamese tennis star through to next round in Thailand
Vietnam’s Ly Hoang Nam advanced in both the singles and doubles events at the Thailand F8 Men’s Futures tennis tournament in Nonthaburi on October 10.

He will next face Masato Shiga in the second round. Shiga earlier beat wild card holder Kittiphong Wachiramanovong of the hosts 7-6 (5), 6-3.
In the doubles, Nam was pairied with Japan’s Ito Yuichi. They came from behind to beat Japan’s Ehara and Essei Okamura 3-6, 6-3, 10-7.
They will next see duo Chung Yunseong of the Republic of Korea and Max Puecell of Australia in the next match.
The tournament will end on October 15 on hard court with a total prize fund of US$15,000.
