Vietnamese pair fail in Vietnam F3 Futures

Vietnamese tennis players stuttered in the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles of the Vietnam F3 Futures tennis tournament in the southern province of Binh Duong on November 22.

Wildcards Le Khang Trung and Tat Thai Nguyen were defeated by Tyler Lu of the US and Kelsey Stevenson of Canada 6-3, 6-2 after 43 minutes.

Vietnamese Vu Artem and Miguel Diaz of the US also lost to Japanese duo Issei Okamura and Shunrou Takeshima 6-3, 6-1 after one hour and nine minutes.

In other matches, duo Yurii Dzhavakian of Ukraine and Arjun Kadhe of India defeated Japanese Sho Katayama and Arata Onozawa 6-4, 7-6 (3). Keisuke Numajiri of Japan and S D Prajwal Dev of India bested Russian Sergey Bolotov and Ivan Mikhaylyuk 6-3, 6(5)-7, 10-6.

In the second round of the men’s singles, Nathan Pasha of the US defeated Kelsey Stevenson of Canada 6-3, 1-6, 6-3, Daniiar Duldaev of Kyrgyzstan crushed Sho Katayama of Japan 6-3, 6-1 and Issei Okamura of Japan beat Michael Look of Australia 7-6 (5), 6-2 in one hour and 37 minutes.
