Vietnam women’s team retains 35th spot in FIFA rankings
VOV.VN -The Vietnam women's national football team has retained their 35th position in the latest world rankings announced for the year’s first quarter. The team currently has a total of 1638 points, according to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

Australia hold the lead in Asia after being ranked 5th in the world, followed by Japan who are ranked 7th, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea who are ranked 11th, the Republic of Korea ranked as the world’s 14th best team, and China in 16th.
The top spot still belongs to the United States, followed by Germany, the UK, France, and Canada.
The rankings are set to change in the year’s second quarter as the 2020 AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament is scheduled to take place in April.
Vietnam women's national football team have already arrived in Uzbekistan in preparation for the tournament.
