Vietnam women snatch 6-1 victory over Iran at Asian Cup
VOV.VN -Vietnam women team on April 9 continued to knock out Iran 6-1 at the third match of Asian Cup’s qualifying round after outclassing Syria and Singapore to secure an 11-0 and 8-0 win, respectively.
In the very first minutes, Singaporean midfielder Ghahkandi scored the first goal. Vietnamese team immediately opened a counterattack against the visiting side with an equaliser netted by Tuyet Dung seven minutes later.

With continued attacks, Vietnam women scored another goal in the 25th minute as a result of Hai Yen’s shot.
A host of other goals were scored by Huynh Nhu (61th minute and 82th minute), Nguyen Thi Hoa (74th minute), and Pham Hai Yen (79th minute).
With the excellent performance, Vietnam took the top spot in the ranking with 9 points.
The team will face off Myanmar at 18:00 on April 11.
