Vietnam U23 team to visit HCM City on Feb. 4
The Vietnam U23 football team, led by coach Park Hang-seo, will visit Ho Chi Minh City to meet with fans at 5 pm on February 4 at Thong Nhat Stadium in District 10.

The city government has teamed up with the Vietnam Football Federation to organize a ceremony to congratulate the national Under23 team on their exemplary achievements at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship, which won the hearts of millions of Vietnamese people.
The event would be an opportunity for city fans to exchange with the U23 boys, who are described as Vietnam’s rock stars by news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP).
HCM City Football Joint Stock Company, the organizer of the event, said that it is racing against time to prepare necessary facilities for the upcoming celebration.
Though the squad were the runners-up at the AFC U23 tournament but heaped praise from millions of supporters throughout the country for their strong fighting spirit.
Earlier, the national team participated in a home-coming celebration at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi City, with more than 40,000 fans attending.
As covered in local media, Vietnam lost 1-2 to Uzbekistan in the final in China last week, but huge numbers of football fans in HCM City and many provinces and cities around the country still took to the streets to celebrate the fantastic fighting spirit of Vietnam U23.
