Vietnam U18s set for Singapore showdown

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s U18 football team held their final training session in Hong Kong (China) on April 18 as they gear up to play their first match of the Hong Kong U18 tournament against Singapore on April 19.

The Vietnamese team is staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin. Their travel time from the hotel to the ground is about 15 minutes.

The Vietnamese footballers train on the pitch at Po Kong Village Road Park. The team will take on Singapore in the same ground and are trying to get acquainted with their surroundings.
All Hong Kong U18 tournament’s matches will take place on the artificial turf at the ground. The tournament is serving as a warm-up for the 2019 AFF U18 Championship and the 2020 AFC U19 Championship qualifiers which will take place later this year.
Head coach Hoang Anh Tuan had led the team’s training sessions on an artificial surface back in Hanoi.

The team’s goalkeepers quickly adapted to their new surroundings.

Vietnamese players take part in a range of exercises without the ball.
 
 
Vietnam are due to play Myanmar on April 20 before facing the hosts Hong Kong on April 22.
