VOV.VN - Vietnam finished third in Group R at the FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival 2026, collecting nine points to rank second among Southeast Asian teams after the group stage, behind Malaysia.
The Vietnamese team concluded the group stage with three wins and two defeats, recording 18 goals scored and 12 conceded to finish third in Group R with nine points.
The team, coached by Hoang Anh Tuan, opened with a 6-3 defeat to Bosnia before bouncing back with a 6-0 victory over Brunei and a 4-1 win against Mauritius. They then lost 4-3 to Iran before ending the group stage with a 2-1 victory over Guyana.
The results placed Vietnam second among Southeast Asian teams based on their group-stage performances, behind Malaysia, who collected 10 points and finished second in their group. Indonesia and Thailand also finished third in their respective groups but recorded lower points totals and goal differences than Vietnam.

Vietnam will compete in Tier C, which covers places 65 to 96 overall. The next matches are scheduled for October 28, with FIFA due to announce the detailed fixtures on October 27.
