Vietnam tops medal table at Southeast Asian rowing championships

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s national rowing team dominated the 2025 Southeast Asian Rowing Championships, finishing as the overall leader after four days of competition, which concluded in Thailand on June 4.

The team secured an impressive haul of 14 gold, 14 silver, and one bronze medal, cementing their position at the top of the medal standings.

The championship is considered to be a key test for rowers ahead of the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA Games 33) to be held in Thailand later this year.

Featuring 18 disciplines, the tournament will be streamlined to 10 at the coming SEA Games, making this competition a crucial opportunity for rowers to fine-tune their skills.

Many of the participating athletes in this championship will compete again at SEA Games 33, providing Vietnamese rowers valuable experience and momentum heading into the regional competition.
