Vietnam to send six cyclists to Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain

VOV.VN - Vietnam will field a team of six promising cyclists at the upcoming Asian Youth Games 2025, set to take place in Bahrain from October 22 to 31.

According to Nguyen Ngoc Vu, general secretary of the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation (VCF), the selected athletes are among the country’s top young talents, with strong potential to advance Vietnamese cycling on the continental stage.

In Bahrain Vietnamese cyclists will compete exclusively in the road race discipline, which, for the first time, has been officially included in the Asian Youth Games under the approval of the Olympic Council of Asia.

These six young cyclists across the country recently competed in the 2025 national youth championship held in Phu Tho. Among them, young cyclist Tran Khoi Minh won three gold medals in the U16 men's individual and team divisions, whilst Tran Cong Man bagged a bronze medal in the same discipline.

The 2025 Games is a major step for Vietnam’s youth cycling programme, offering valuable international experience and the opportunity to compete against Asia's best rising talent.
