Vietnam to host DPRK in friendly match

VOV.VN -Vietnam’s national football team will face off against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in a friendly match played at the My Dinh National Stadium on December 25.

The match will serve as a warm-up fixture for the finals of the Asian Cup 2019, which is scheduled to begin on January 5 in UAE.

The DPRK team is due to arrive in Hanoi at 15:30 on December 23 and attend a press conference for the friendly match at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF)’s headquarters the following morning at 11:00 on December 24.

According to the VFF, officials from Thailand  will manage the match. They include the referee Mongkolchai Pechsri and his assistants Rawut Nakarit and Apichit Nophuan, who are recognized at AFC’s Elite level.

The Vietnamese players are currently enjoying 4-day break following their victory in the AFF Cup.

They will gather back on December 20 to prepare for the friendly match against the DPRK.
