Vietnam squad trains ahead of Jordan match

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese national squad took their first training session in Hanoi on March 23 as they prepare for their match against Jordan in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup 2019.

To prepare for their important match against Jordan, head coach Park Hang Seo has called up 23 players from football clubs across the country, among them are 14 players of the Vietnam U23 squad who finished in second place at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship 2018.

In their first training session, head coach Park Hang Seo allows his team to do basic exercises as they already played in the third round of V-League 2018 matches held on March 22.

The Vietnamese national squad currently ranks second in Group C of the Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers with 9 points, 2 points below Jordan.

Both Jordan and Vietnam have won a place in the finals of Asian Cup 2019. The upcoming final match between them will help to determine who tops Group C.

If Vietnam defeats Jordan, they will lead Group C.

Head coach Park Hang Seo is greatly determined to win 3 points in the upcoming match against Jordan at the rival ground. So he has called on the best players who also understand his statistics.
