Vietnam lose 0-4 to RoK in AFC Women’s Asian Cup

VOV.VN -Vietnam’s women’s team suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in their final Group B match of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Asian Cup in Amman, Jordan, on April 13.

Despite the team’s thorough preparations for the tournament, with a series of training camps in China, Japan, and Germany, they were eliminated from the Asian Cup and denied a ticket to the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Vietnam conceded a total of 16 goals in their three group matches, failing to hit the back of the net themselves.
In last night’s match, RoK footballer So-hyun scored the opener in the 14th minute. Lee Geum-min brought the RoK’s second in the 38th minute, and Lee Mi-Na scored a brace in the 49th and 73th minutes.
There was fierce competition between RoK and Vietnamese players.

Vietnam were unable to find their way out of a tough group, placed with the strong teams of Japan, Australia, and the Republic of Korea.

In the final Group B standings, Australia ranked first, followed by Japan, and RoK.
